After being rained out on Wednesday, we were excited to get started on a busy day Thursday – hopeful that the rain would stay away – and it did!
We were able to canvass a neighborhood In the morning and then perform a well-attended concert at Noon in downtown Calgary. It was a great success! The people loved our Texas songs and our version of Alberta Bound – but also stayed to listen as we sang of our faith and belief in Jesus Christ. One bystander passed us a note expressing how her faith had been encouraged and strengthened by the concert.
We then were able to present a second concert at the Bethany Care Center for seniors who need daily care. The students sounded amazing and enjoyed interacting with the residents. Pastor Brent took the opportunity to share the gospel at the end of the concert.
After dinner, we canvassed a new neighborhood in Cochrane where we discovered 67 more prospects for Vertical Church, bringing our total number to 147.
We ended the evening with a share and prayer time to conclude the week. It was meaningful to hear the students share and to come around Pastor Chris and his family as we prayed for his family and new church.
We are excited to come home and see our families, and to share with our church family Sunday morning and at 5 pm for the Home Concert.
