Final Day – This Picture Says It All

This photograph of our VBS team laying hands and praying for Andy Greenfield, Church Planter, is representative of why we came to Baltimore. While we sang concerts, saw amazing places and had so much fun together – our purpose was to partner in missions with the churches and church planters God led us to serve.

Andrew’s church – Village Church – North Station – will open September 8. We spent this week leading a VBS for the community to share Jesus and introduce people to this new church. We also spent much time in prayer and discussion about how God was at work in the community and and how desperate people are for Him – whether they know it or not.

We had many other projects going – Sports Camp, cleaning and painting as well as food for the poor. You can see many photos on Facebook that give you a great sense of the week we have shared. But for me, this photo distills our purpose and heart for the trip.

We have much to share with you at our Josey Campus on Sunday morning. I hope you will join us at 9:15 am!

Pray for safe travel as we journey home Friday via Southwest Airlines, and for our truck drivers Shane Morgan and Jonathan Green as they begin the LONG drive home with the truck EARLY Friday AM.

Thank you to all of our church family who prayed and gave generously that we could be a light and share God’s love in Baltimore.

See you Sunday!
