Mission Monday

Monday morning our mission projects began bright and early. We have teams focused in three main areas this week: painting the fellowship hall, hallways and classrooms at Westlynn Baptist Church in North Vancouver, painting and landscaping at Cariboo Hills church in Vancouver, as well as Kids Camp at that same location.

It is significant to help these congregations accomplish projects in just a few days that would take them weeks or months with their limited resources. It’s satisfying to know that we are engaging in ministry that will be a blessing for a long time after we leave as these churches gather together for worship each week and seek to reach their communities for Christ.

We had a fun and energetic concert at Lonsdale Quey at 2:30 pm. Our evening concert was canceled due to rain, but we got to take a beautiful nature hike at a park with a suspension bridge very near Westlynn Baptist. We are surrounded by God’s beautiful creation everywhere we look – and the weather is fantastic – which is a blessing!

Today, we add a mission with Transformation City Church, a church plant funded by our North American Mission Board. Students and leaders will be out in the target neighborhoods for this new church sharing information with local residents and seeking to have Gospel conversations and share Christ! Scott Ward is leading this team. We covet your prayers today and tomorrow as they go out Tuesday and Wednesday morning.
